Final Thoughts
This workshop has been a wonderful experience for me. I was so very nervous about coming here; like I have said previously, it was a whole new adventure for me. I have learned a lot about journalism and all of the roles that journalism plays in our society today. This camp has helped me become a better journalist and has helped me to learn to do somethings on my own. I have made some wonderful friends while I was here and have met a lot of new people. I was like a new person on unfamiliar turf when I arrived here because I did not know a single soul and I did not really know the campus. The only area that I knew was The Rock. And now, I know where a lot of the things are and it has really helped me for my future, since I do want to get my college education here. Overall, this week has been one of the more fun weeks of my life. I know that I have made lifelong friends here and the workshop itself was just wonderful, also.

Favorite Media
I have definitely learned a lot from all the different medias that we have learned about. I am not quite sure which one has been my favorite. I would probably have to say that the broadcasting has been my favorite. Broadcasting was very interesting because we had to write our own stories and then we had to speak about it to the camera. I have always wanted to be on tv, whether it was sitting down in a chair reporting or being out on the field reporting. My dream has always been to one day be on ESPN, so with broadcasting I learned a lot of how that well help me conquer my dream. The photography that we did was absolutely amazing!! I had so much fun learning how to shoot the different types of pictures and get an idea of how we need to edit the pictures. The radio was a lot of fun and it was very nerve racking because it was live and I have never done something like that, so it was very interesting. The newspaper was also a lot of fun because we got to go around the campus and interview the other camps that were happening at the same time a our camp. The other fun thing about the newspaper is that we got to write our own story and it is going to be published in the paper. My whole experience at this camp has been wonderful and I have learned so much from it. But, I still would have to say that my favorite is broadcasting!

Preparation for College
I have always been afraid to go off to college by myself. I'm not sure what i have always been afraid of, it may be living on my own, not having my family here with me, or not having my friends with me. The idea of going away for this workshop even made me nervous, but now that I am here, I am not nervous anymore. Staying at a dorm here on this campus really made a difference as to why I am not scared anymore. I absolutely love this campus and I feel as if I belong here. Another thing that has made it not so hard for me is he fact that I love working in journalism. Journalism is what I have always dreamed about doing and now that I have experienced what it is exactly, I really love it.
